C.A.T works according to cooperation with Air Service Training (AST) in Scotland which is considered the deepest rooted specialized institute where late Jordanian King Husain and Ruler of Dubai Muhammad Bin Rashed Al Maktoum graduated. Pioneers of Kuwaiti pilots have been trained there as well.

C.A.T is a regional institute for aviation technology and engineering. It is a leading college of nationalizing the aviation technology. C.A.T contributed in turning Kuwait into an important regional destiny for the seekers of obtaining aviation technology education.

A student of CAT studies the aviation technology which qualifies him to obtain the license of Engineer/ Technician of Aircraft maintenance. The obtained certificate is accredited by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). A graduate obtains an academic diploma in addition to the professional license. The certificate meets the local, regional, European and global criteria.

Terms of reference and Tasks

The Board of Trustees in the college of Aviation Technology is the higher authority in the college, it maintains its interests, sets its internal policies, and monitors the implementation specifically as follows:

  1. Setting the internal policies to function its operation.
  2. Managing its funds.
  3. Assigning the Dean and other Executives and seniors.
  4. Accepting donations, grants, gifts, and endowments that does not conflict with its vision and interests and after getting the approval from the Private Universities Council according to the standards set by the Cabinet Council.
  5. Assigning one or more outsourced certified financial auditor.
  6. Preparing the Annual Budget statement and Balance sheet.
